Steve Dunbar
I’ve lived in Vancouver since moving from my hometown of Victoria in 1980.
My first career was with the Division of Vital Statistics at Robson Square, where as a marriage commissioner I performed over 500 civil marriage ceremonies. In 1986, I started a new career that would last 24 years. First at CFOXFM99 during a time when it was a North American leader in rock radio.
You might remember me as “Stevie Ray Dunbar” and the host of the original “Electric Lunch”. In 2001 I joined ROCK101 which had become the country’s leading classic rock station. Eight years later I had the dream opportunity to work for my first radio hero, Roy Hennessy, and host the morning show at SHORE104. After 24 years of talking to listeners, interviewing rock stars & celebrities, creating marketing & promotional ideas, seeing more bands than I can remember but never forgetting the answer to a trivia question, I decided on my third career.
Wanting to work with another industry leader, I recognized RE/MAX as #1 in real estate sales & service where they use the latest technology, processes and systems to assist clients with their real estate goals, whether they’re new to the market or experienced investors.
Having lived in Kits, The West End, Grandview, Yaletown and since 2003 Douglas Park, with my wife, two daughters and pet dog, I bring my passion & knowledge of Vancouver's history, architecture, neighbourhoods and yes real estate trends to RE/MAX Select on Main and look forward to sharing it with you.
I would also like you to know that I’m a proud supporter of the Children’s Miracle Network and B.C.’s Children’s Hospital.
